Learn Some On And Off Page Search Engine Optimization Tips

Search engine optimization has become a formidable tool in the online business. A website cannot go and succeed in internet marketing without using search engine optimization. Since online marketing has been very competitive, there is a need for every website to be optimized to gain maximum online presence. This means that being able to land on the first page of search engine results page should be the goal of each website and with these tips regarding on and off page SEO, there will be a remarkable improvement in internet traffic.

On page:

Provide a unique, catchy and content-rich title for every page. These two, the title and description are very crucial in making the site tick in the online business. This means that the title and its description should contain the most important keyword phrase and the description should contain at least seventy words.

Prioritize your heading keywords. Use keywords in your headers in order of priority (H1 - H3). Crawlers use header keywords to identify important content.

The URLs of your site should have targeted keywords. Each page of your site should have a short, static URL of its own.

Try not to overload you content with too much keywords. You have to remember that the keyword density should only be about two to five percent from your content. Putting excess keywords can do other way around, it can pull your website down.

Off page:

Do not forget to distribute your article to other sites. This can stir up some traffic and the articles that you submit to other sites should have a back-link to your site.

Aside from submitting to article directories, you can also build online presence by creating pages on social bookmarking and networking sites in order to achieve the much- needed internet traffic into your site. Sites like Digg, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube, Delicious and StumbleUpon are great sites to initiate presence.

Have your site listed on applicable directories. Providing a back link on as many directories as possible is an important part of a link building campaign.

Blog commenting is a strong and effective method in creating more traffic. Commenting on blogs can give you a personal connection with your online visitors and potential clients. Do not just add any comment, add good quality comments and always provide a back link to your site.
